Twin sisters Jenny and Jill Kleinknecht, Jamestown High School graduates from 2006, have initiated "Beyond the First Day." This program aims to provide Jamestown students with school supplies, books, and essential items.
The initiative partners with the Jamestown Public School District, focusing on three key areas: initial school supplies, continuous stocking of supply closets, and access to books for students.
"Beyond the First Day" addresses the ongoing need for supplies, ensuring school closets are replenished quarterly. This effort aims to prevent shortages that often occur after the first quarter of the school year.
Community members can contribute by donating financially or purchasing items from a wishlist on briarroadstudio.com. Items purchased will be shipped to North Dakota and distributed in August, with subsequent quarterly distributions.
The first donation deadline is at the beginning of August, with future quarterly deadlines planned. For more information, individuals can email jenny@briarroadstudio.com.
