On November 11, 2025, IIT Bombay announced an extension of the correction window for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2026. Candidates who have already registered and paid the fees for JAM 2026 can now make changes to their application, such as category, name, date of birth, city, and paper selection, until November 13, 2025.
The JAM 2026 exam is a highly sought-after entrance test that facilitates admissions into various postgraduate programs, including MSc, MSc-Tech, MSc-MTech Dual Degree, MS (Research), Joint MSc-PhD, and MSc-PhD Dual Degree, at the 21 IITs and several other reputed institutes. For the 2026-27 academic year, applicants can vie for more than 3,000 seats across 89 programs offered at the IITs, which include IIT Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Madras, Kharagpur, and Roorkee.
In addition to the IITs, the JAM 2026 scores will also be used for admission to over 2,300 seats at IISc Bangalore, NITs, IISERs, DIAT, IIPE, JNCASR, and several other top institutions. With this extensive reach, the IIT JAM remains one of the most sought-after exams for science graduates in the country.
