IBPS Releases Probationary Officer Exam Results, Thousands of Vacancies to Fill

On September 26, 2025, the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is expected to announce the results of the Probationary Officer (PO)/Management Trainee preliminary examination that was conducted earlier this month. The preliminary exam took place on August 17, 23, and 24, 2025.
Candidates who qualify the sectional and overall cut-offs in the preliminary exam will be eligible to appear for the mains examination, scheduled for October 12, 2025. The mains paper will test their skills in areas like Reasoning, Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language, and Data Analysis.
Through this recruitment drive, IBPS aims to fill a total of 5,208 vacancies in participating public sector banks. The preliminary exam consisted of 100 questions for 60 marks, with negative marking for incorrect answers.
The IBPS PO selection process involves three stages: Preliminary, Mains, and Interview. Candidates must clear each phase to move on to the next. The final selection will be based on their combined performance in the mains exam and interview.
