Reflecting on her service, Mittal expressed that standing for what is right was a duty and that 'impossible' is merely an opinion. She felt a sense of incompleteness despite achievements, driven by a desire to repay her country for the education and confidence it provided.
Her resignation has not yet been formally received by the Uttar Pradesh government, with officials stating appropriate action will be taken upon receipt. Her decision to leave the IAS marks the conclusion of a significant chapter in her public service career.
