On Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Holland Civic Center Place will host the annual Back2School community event. This initiative, supported by Downtown Holland and various regional organizations, aims to provide essential school supplies to local students.
More than 2,000 backpacks, generously filled with school supplies, will be distributed free of charge. This community giveaway is made possible through the collaboration of organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club and the Salvation Army, demonstrating a strong commitment to supporting education.
In addition to receiving a backpack, each student will be eligible for a special treat, including a $3 voucher for a dessert at Peachwave Frozen Yogurt & Gelato, located in downtown Holland.
