Haryana is significantly strengthening its special education sector through comprehensive training and institutional development. Over 300 educators are currently pursuing specialized training, with plans to integrate inclusive education modules into B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. curricula statewide. This initiative ensures that all graduating teachers are adept at identifying and supporting children with diverse special needs.
District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) institutions will spearhead this effort, training educators to address conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and learning disabilities. Furthermore, all existing teachers will undergo specialized training focused on early identification and intervention for children with special needs. This proactive approach reinforces Haryana's commitment to inclusive quality education and robust rehabilitation services for persons with special abilities.
