The State Examination Board has released the results for entrance exams crucial for admissions to various Gujarat residential schools. These include Gyan Shakti residential schools, Gyan Shakti tribal residential schools, and Raksha Shakti schools. The results also pertain to the chief minister Gyan Setu merit scholarship scheme.
A significant number of 5.9 lakh students participated in the examination held on January 31. The results indicate exceptional performance by 27 students from 25 different schools who achieved a perfect score of 109 out of 120, emerging as the top performers.
Furthermore, the results show a strong performance across various mark brackets. 743 students scored 96 marks or above, while 4,397 students achieved 84 marks or higher. The merit list criteria include scores above 50 for the general category and above 45 for scheduled caste and tribe candidates, paving the way for admission and scholarship processes.
Admissions for tribal students into Gujarat State Tribal Education Society-run institutions, such as Eklavya Model residential schools and Sainik Schools, will also be based on this examination. No separate tests will be conducted for these specific institutions.
