The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has unveiled a detailed action plan for the 2026 Class 10 and 12 examinations. Set to commence on February 26, 2026, these exams anticipate over 15 lakh student participants across Gujarat.
The board is introducing enhanced security measures to ensure a transparent examination process. These include mandatory CCTV installations at all centers, strict frisking protocols at entry points, and a complete ban on mobile phones and electronic devices. To accommodate the high student turnout and reduce overcrowding, the number of examination centers has been increased, with special considerations for rural areas.
Observer and flying squad deployments will conduct surprise inspections and real-time monitoring of exam activities. Support mechanisms for students, such as clear seating arrangements, medical assistance at selected venues, and dedicated help desks, are also being established. The GSEB emphasizes its commitment to transparency through secure transportation of question papers and barcode-based tracking of answer sheets, aiming for a credible and organized testing experience.
