Governor: Anganwadi Upgrade Key to Stronger Education

Governor Anandiben Patel stated that the educational system's strength is contingent upon the improvement of Anganwadi centers. She envisions these centers becoming highly attractive to children. Drawing from her experience in Gujarat, she mentioned linking Anganwadis to universities for a comprehensive 'KG to PG' educational approach.
Patel lauded Vidya Bharti for imparting value-based education. She stressed the necessity of modern education, including artificial intelligence, while underscoring the importance of preserving cultural heritage and traditions. The governor encouraged educating young children at home about Indian culture, epics like the Ramayana and Mahabharata, and the scientific achievements of ancient sages.
Furthermore, Governor Patel urged the vaccination of girls between 9 and 14 years old to prevent cervical cancer. She reported that 40,000 girls had been vaccinated statewide with public support, and efforts were underway to vaccinate 1.5 lakh more girls with assistance from the Serum Institute of Pune and Jan Bhavan.
