Florida Institute of Technology has earned national acclaim, being named the top online college in Florida and achieving the 10th position among the nation's best online institutions in Newsweek's 2026 rankings. This recognition highlights the university's commitment to accessible and high-quality online education.

The rankings were determined through a comprehensive survey conducted by Newsweek in partnership with Statista, involving over 10,000 respondents who have utilized online learning. Participants evaluated their educational experiences based on critical factors, including the program's organization, the support provided to students, cost-effectiveness, overall reputation, academic success, and practical applicability of the knowledge gained.

Florida Tech, with its campus in Melbourne, offers a robust selection of three dozen online degree programs for both undergraduate and graduate students across various disciplines. President John Nicklow expressed pride in the achievement, stating that the recognition from thousands of independent voices underscores their mission to make higher education more attainable for individuals with demanding schedules.
