Energy Scholars: 54 Students Earn Coveted 2026 Scholarships

The Energy Workforce & Technology Council has announced its 54 scholarship recipients for the 2026-27 academic year, celebrating students nationwide who are pursuing higher education or vocational training. Among this year's honorees are Valeria Ordaz, Zoe Ordaz, Damilola Daniels, Viviana Mota, and Mason Perkins from the Midland-Odessa area. These scholarships are a testament to the council's commitment to fostering talent within the energy sector.
Valeria Ordaz plans to further her education degree at Midland College and UT Permian Basin, while Zoe Ordaz is studying Criminal Justice at Midland College. Damilola Daniels is pursuing a master's in Physician Assistant studies at Texas Tech, Viviana Mota is studying Studio Art at Texas State University, and Mason Perkins is undertaking Nursing studies at Baylor University. All five received their scholarships through Energy Workforce member companies.
For over 40 years, the Energy Workforce Scholarship Program has invested in the futures of individuals and families within the energy workforce. Since the 1970s, the program has awarded more than $4.4 million. The application window for the 2027 program is set to open on January 1, 2027, continuing this legacy of educational support.
