DAVV to Overhaul Exams: Stricter Rules Ahead for 2026-27
9 Oct
Summary
- DAVV is enhancing exam monitoring and question paper distribution.
- Observers will gain expanded authority over examination centers.
- New protocols aim to prevent delays and leaks starting 2026-27.
Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) is set to introduce a more stringent examination system for the 2026-27 academic session, aiming to bolster security and efficiency. These measures are a direct response to disruptions experienced during recent postgraduate examinations, which were marred by delayed paper deliveries to some centers.
The revamped system will grant observers enhanced powers to oversee arrangements at examination venues. University officials and assistant registrars will be assigned specific monitoring duties. Crucially, all significant developments related to examinations must be reported to DAVV's central control room.
To ensure timely delivery and maintain paper confidentiality, question papers for centers in Dhar and Jhabua will be dispatched one day prior to the examinations. For centers within Indore, papers will reach venues approximately three hours before exams commence. This revised schedule is designed to prevent the delays that affected previous examinations.
The university plans to conduct postgraduate third-semester exams in November and first-semester exams in December. It anticipates managing between 180 and 190 examinations over a period of two and a half months, all under the newly implemented, stricter protocols.
