The annual three-day cultural festival, 'Abhivyakti 2026', at DAV degree college in Lucknow concluded on Thursday, March 13, 2026. The competitions spanned various categories, including solo and group singing, solo and group dances for both boys and girls, and a fancy dress competition. Participants delivered vibrant performances, showcasing folk dances like Garba and Bhangra, alongside dances from different Indian states, set to popular film and folk music.
Padmashree Malini Awasthi, a renowned classical and folk singer, was the chief guest. She addressed the attendees, highlighting the significance of Indian folk music as the soul of the nation's culture. Awasthi stressed the responsibility of the youth in preserving and promoting these traditions, encouraging them to celebrate their heritage through artistic expressions like music, dance, and art to ensure cultural values endure.
