Summary
- Students engaged in interactive critical thinking sessions.
- Sessions focused on analyzing facts, opinions, and assumptions.
- Learning emphasized questioning and justifying thought processes.

Saraswati Inter College in Loni, Ghaziabad, hosted an interactive session for over 140 students, focusing on critical thinking skills. This event, part of the Times Critical Thinking Championship, transformed classrooms into spaces for debate and reflection, moving away from traditional lectures. Students actively participated in discussions, analyzing scenarios and defending their reasoning.
The session emphasized understanding the difference between facts and opinions, assumptions and inferences. Rather than seeking a single correct answer, the goal was to encourage students to question, analyze, and justify their thought processes. This inquiry-based learning approach proved effective, with students noting how interactive formats enhance comprehension and problem-solving abilities.
Trainer Rajeev Mishra highlighted that sessions are tailored to the audience, always aiming to make students think independently. School principal Rocky Kaushik observed that these sessions build analytical skills, confidence, and communication abilities. The event concluded with students applying learned concepts to scenario-based questions, distinguishing facts from opinions and using reason over instinct.
