CISCE Announces 2026 Board Exam Schedule: Dates, Subjects, and Expectations

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced the exam timetable for the 2026 board exams. According to the schedule, the ICSE Class 10 exams will commence on February 17, 2026, with the English Language Paper 1, and conclude on March 30, 2026, with the Environmental Science paper. The ISC Class 12 exams, on the other hand, will begin on February 12, 2026, with Psychology, and wrap up on April 6, 2026.
The council has moved the exam schedule slightly earlier compared to the previous year. Around 2.6 lakh students are expected to appear for the ICSE exams, while 1.5 lakh students will take the ISC exams in 2026. The timetable includes a wide range of subjects, with more than 75 options for ICSE and 50+ for ISC, providing students ample time for preparation and revision.
CISCE has advised students to reach their examination centers at least 30 minutes early and make full use of the 15-minute reading period before each paper. The council will also release admit cards for both ICSE and ISC students by January 2026, which can be downloaded from the official website, cisce.org.
