His support includes wearing apparel from various HBCU institutions during the NBA's 2020 bubble and creating the docuseries "Why Not Us" with ESPN+ to highlight HBCU athletics.
Further demonstrating his commitment, Paul founded the Chris Paul HBCU Classic, an early-season basketball competition that has since expanded to Atlanta.
