The 90-minute initiative, organized by Explorers Club and led by Air India Senior Commander Capt. Soniya Jain, aimed to foster experiential learning for children aged eight to 15.
Participants gained practical knowledge of sailing basics, including boat stability, wind dynamics, and coordination. They also mastered various knots and crafted their own wind catchers, turning a simple boat ride expectation into a day of discovery and skill-building.
Capt. Jain, with extensive aviation experience, believes in the power of stepping outside comfort zones to build confidence, discipline, and responsibility. This philosophy drives her larger mission to provide children with real-world experiences that traditional classrooms may not offer, creating lasting memories and lessons.
