The University Institute of Design (UID) at Chandigarh University has fostered significant student success, with 307 design students securing placements and 317 gaining internship experience over the last three years. Graduates have found roles in fashion, industrial, interior design, and fine arts.
In interior design, 108 students were placed, with top packages reaching 6 LPA. Industrial design graduates achieved remarkable success, with 40 students placed and one earning an exceptional Rs 20 lakh package. The fine arts department saw 77 students placed, including one securing 7.2 LPA.
Fashion design students have also excelled, with 62 placements and the highest package at 5.5 LPA. Notably, four fashion design students have launched their own brands in the past five years, alongside two interior design students running successful startups. This entrepreneurial spirit is actively encouraged by the university.
