- A viral message falsely claimed exam date changes in multiple Middle Eastern countries.
- The board warned students and parents against trusting unofficial notices or social media.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a strong warning against a false circular circulating on social media that claimed a rescheduling of board exams in the Middle East for March 12, 2026. This fabricated notice falsely suggested changes to exam dates, including the Class 12 English exam, in several Middle Eastern countries.
The board has categorically denied issuing any such circular, urging students, parents, and schools to disregard the misinformation. The fake notice, which attributed the changes to the CBSE Controller of Examinations, was widely shared on platforms like Twitter and WhatsApp. The CBSE has clarified that the message is neither valid nor officially released by the board.
This incident occurs while some actual exam changes have been made in the Middle East due to Iran-Israel tensions. These postponements and cancellations affect certain Class 10 and 12 papers, with new dates to be announced. Students are advised to rely solely on official CBSE websites and verified social media accounts for accurate information.
