Math Exam Day: Class 12 Students Brace for Board Challenge

The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the highly anticipated CBSE Class 12 Maths Exam 2026 on Monday, March 9. This crucial examination is scheduled to take place in a single shift, commencing at 10:30 am and concluding at 1:30 pm. The exams for Mathematics and Applied Mathematics will be held nationwide and also internationally.

Each question paper comprises a total of 38 questions, all of which are mandatory for students to attempt. The paper is systematically organized into five distinct sections: A, B, C, D, and E, featuring a variety of question formats. These include multiple-choice questions, assertion-reason type questions, very short answer, short answer, long answer, and case study-based questions.

While there is no overall choice provided in the exam, candidates will find internal choices within certain sections. Specifically, Section B offers choices in two questions, Section C in three, Section D in two, and Section E includes a choice in one subpart of two questions. All candidates are required to reach their respective exam centers by 10:00 am on the day of the examination.
