The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 English examination is scheduled for today, March 12, 2026. The exam will be conducted in a single shift, commencing at 10:30 AM and concluding at 1:30 PM. Students are allocated three hours for the English paper. Admittance to the examination hall is strictly regulated, with no student permitted entry after 10:00 AM.
To successfully pass the Class 12 English exam, candidates must achieve a minimum of 33%. Prior to entering the examination center, students must present their original CBSE Class 12 admit card and School Identification Card for verification, adhering to CBSE policies. A reading time from 10:15 AM to 10:30 AM is provided before writing commences.
The broader CBSE Class 12 board exams for 2026 began on February 17 and will continue until April 10. These exams cover 114 subjects and are being held across more than 8,000 examination centers nationwide. An estimated 18-20 lakh candidates are expected to participate in the Class 12 board examinations this year.
