15 Apr
Summary
- CBSE uses a 9-point grading system from A1 to E.
- Answer sheets are scanned, barcoded, and evaluated digitally.
- AI detects unusual marking and ensures all answers are checked.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to release Class 10 results soon, with media reports suggesting an April 14, 2026, declaration. Approximately 25 lakh students await their outcomes. This year, CBSE has adopted a modern digital evaluation system. Answer sheets are converted to digital form using high-speed scanners and feature barcodes for blind evaluation, ensuring fairness and reducing mistakes.
An Artificial Intelligence system is now being utilized to detect unusual marking patterns, verify checking completeness, and identify inconsistencies. This on-screen marking system allows examiners to view answer sheets and marking schemes simultaneously on a computer, with automated total mark calculation. This accelerated process aims for efficiency and accuracy. Improvement exams for up to three subjects are scheduled for May 2026.
Students will be able to access their digital marksheets via results.cbse.nic.in, cbse.gov.in, results.nic.in, DigiLocker, and the UMANG app. They will need their roll number, school code, and admit card ID. A 6-digit DigiLocker 'access code' is also required for academic documents, distributed by schools. Those who forget their roll number should contact their schools.
