The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is poised to release the Class 10 board examination results for 2026 around April 14. This early announcement is a strategic move to accommodate the second board examinations scheduled for May 2026. While an official date is pending, mid-April is the anticipated period for the declaration.
This year's examinations are operating under a revised two-exam system, implemented to offer students opportunities for improvement. This system allows students to retake exams in up to three subjects or appear for compartment exams, aiming to boost their overall scores.
The Class 10 examinations concluded on March 11, 2026. In contrast, Class 12 examinations are currently ongoing and are slated to finish by April 10, 2026. Both sets of exams commenced on February 17, 2026.
Collectively, over 43 lakh students are awaiting their results. This includes approximately 25 lakh students from Class 10 and 18.5 lakh from Class 12. The examinations were conducted across numerous centres, with 8,074 for Class 10 and 7,574 for Class 12.
