The University of Texas at El Paso and Texas Tech Health El Paso have joined forces to cultivate the next generation of medical professionals. This collaboration has introduced the fourth cohort of the MedFuture program, comprising six talented seniors from area high schools. These students will benefit from comprehensive pre-medical support and research in biological sciences during their undergraduate studies at UTEP.
Following their graduation from UTEP, these aspiring doctors will advance to the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine at Texas Tech Health El Paso. The MedFuture program rigorously selects students based on academic merit and commitment to medicine. This initiative aims to create a dedicated pathway for talented individuals from West Texas to pursue medical careers, ultimately serving the healthcare needs of the Borderland region.
