Exam Chaos: Technical Glitches Plague High Court Clerk Test

Candidates attempting the Bombay High Court clerk typing skill test on Sunday reported significant technical difficulties at multiple examination centers throughout the state, including Kalyan and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Issues such as server failures, malfunctioning keyboards, and unexpected logouts during the test triggered protests. Over 600 candidates at the Kalyan center staged a protest, which was called off after authorities acknowledged the technical problems in writing. The High Court registrar issued a statement acknowledging that while the test was largely smooth, technical issues were reported at specific centers.

The registrar further stated that the issues, if any, related to the agency conducting the test are being examined. Affected candidates will be informed about the future course of action through official communication, with no immediate clarity on whether the test would be re-conducted. Approximately 11,000 candidates were scheduled to appear for the test across 19 centers in Maharashtra. Social media buzzed with allegations of software glitches, unresponsive keys, and premature logouts, raising concerns about the assessment's fairness.
