Bethune-Cookman Nursing Masters Gains National Seal of Approval

Bethune-Cookman University's Master of Science in Nursing Education program has officially received national accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). This significant achievement follows a thorough review process, including a self-study and an on-site evaluation, confirming the program's high standards.

This accreditation signifies a milestone for the university, as it is the second nursing program to earn ACEN recognition, joining the existing accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Dean Beverly Bonaparte highlighted the faculty and leadership's dedication to developing a quality program that equips future nurse educators.

The entirely online master's program, delivered through B-CU Global, spans 12 months. It is structured to prepare registered nurses for advanced roles in education, mentorship, and leadership within academic and clinical environments. The program received prior approval from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges in January 2024 and commenced with its first students in the 2024-25 academic year. The ACEN accreditation is set to remain effective until the program's next review in the fall of 2029.
