The Bar Council of India (BCI) has announced the upcoming All India Bar Examination (AIBE-20). According to the official notification, the registration process for the exam will commence on September 29, 2025, and the test is scheduled to be held offline on November 30, 2025 at designated centers across the country.
The registration window will remain open until October 28, 2025, and the last date for fee payment is October 29. Candidates will be allowed to make corrections to their registration forms until October 31. Admit cards will be issued online on November 15, two weeks before the exam date.
The AIBE is a mandatory certification exam for law graduates in India. Candidates who have completed a three-year or five-year LLB degree, or those in their final year without any backlogs, are eligible to appear for the test. Passing the AIBE grants an advocate's certificate of practice, which is essential for appearing in courts and tribunals across the country. The BCI has set the minimum passing percentage at 45% for General and OBC candidates, and 40% for SC/ST and differently-abled candidates.
