Girls' UG Scholarship Opens: Rs 30K Aid!

Applications for the Azim Premji Scholarship 2026-27 are now open, providing financial aid to girls entering their first year of undergraduate or diploma programs. This scholarship offers Rs 30,000 annually, potentially totaling Rs 1.5 lakh over a five-year course, to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds. For the upcoming academic year, Andhra Pradesh and Delhi (NCT) have been included, expanding the scholarship's reach.

The Round 1 application period runs from August 10 to August 31, 2026. A second application round is scheduled for January 10-31, 2027. Eligibility requires students to have completed Class 10 and 12 from government schools in eligible states and enrolled in a regular undergraduate program of two to five years anywhere in India. This scholarship is exclusively for female students.

Selected students will receive financial support directly to their bank accounts. Renewal processes are in place for subsequent years, contingent upon meeting scholarship requirements. Students already enrolled in higher education or pursuing distance learning are not eligible. The scholarship is not based on merit, caste, income, or religion, focusing solely on supporting girls' access to higher education.
