AIIMS Exam Chaos: Power Fails Again in Jaipur
1 Sep
Summary
- AIIMS CRE exam canceled at two centers due to power failure.
- Around 2,000 candidates affected by the disruption.
- Fresh exam scheduled for September 7 for affected candidates.

A power supply failure disrupted the AIIMS Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) 2026 at two examination centers in Jaipur on August 31. This marks the second consecutive day of examination cancellations due to power issues at the same TCS-operated iON Digital Zone in Sitapura, following a similar incident with the NEET-PG 2026 exam.
AIIMS announced the cancellation of the CRE at centers RJ0101 and RJ0102 to protect candidate interests and ensure exam fairness. A total of 2,000 candidates were registered at these two sites. Those affected by the disruption will now take a rescheduled examination on September 7.
AIIMS has requested a detailed report from TCS regarding the incident and ordered the preservation of system logs and CCTV footage for investigation. The CRE is crucial for recruitment to Group B and C posts across AIIMS and other central healthcare institutions.
