Scholarships designated for 59 high-achieving secondary students in Ahmedabad are currently on hold. These awards, part of the Secondary Education Scholarship (SSE) scheme for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 academic years, cannot be disbursed due to issues with student bank account information.
Multiple scholarship transactions failed because schools submitted inaccurate details. These errors included incorrect account numbers, discrepancies in account holder names, and wrong IFSC codes. Students from several prominent city schools, including Sheth C.N. Vidyalaya and Diwan Ballubhai Secondary School, are among those affected by these administrative delays.
In response, the District Education Officer (DEO) has issued a directive to all secondary school principals. They are required to submit precise and active bank account details for the listed students to the DEO office within ten days. The DEO emphasized that failure to comply with this deadline could result in the forfeiture of scholarships for the affected students, with schools bearing full responsibility for any financial consequences.
