On Thursday, November 9th, 2025, a 3.6 magnitude earthquake jolted the city of Vallejo, California. The tremor, which occurred at around 12:41 PM, had its epicenter located approximately two miles southeast of the city at a depth of roughly six miles.
The quake was felt as weak to light shaking in the nearby city of Concord. Fortunately, no major damage or injuries were immediately reported. This event comes as part of a week of increased seismic activity in the Northern California region, including a larger 3.8 magnitude quake near San Ramon just four days earlier.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquakes between 2.5 and 5.4 magnitude are often felt but rarely cause significant damage. The agency noted that the latest Vallejo tremor was the latest in a series of quakes to hit the area over the past week.
