Two teenagers tragically lost their lives following a serious car accident that occurred near Sittingbourne, Kent, on the evening of Saturday, January 3. A 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl were pronounced deceased at the scene after the vehicle they were traveling in left the road.
Emergency services, including multiple ambulance crews and The Air Ambulance Charity, were dispatched to Old Ferry Road in Iwade following reports of the incident. A third occupant, a 16-year-old girl, was taken to a local hospital for urgent medical attention. The road was closed for several hours while investigations were conducted.
Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now urging anyone who was in the vicinity or possesses relevant dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward.
