Highway Horror: Two Rickshaw Drivers Killed in Collision

Two residents of Bhiwandi, both autorickshaw drivers, were killed on Monday morning in a fatal road accident on the Mumbai-Nashik highway. The victims have been identified as 40-year-old Rajkumar Gupta and 39-year-old Mahendra Kesarwani.
The two friends were en route to Bapgaon when an unknown speeding vehicle collided with their auto from the rear. The force of the impact ejected both men onto the roadway.
Bystanders and other motorists promptly transported the injured duo to a nearby medical facility. Tragically, medical professionals declared both Gupta and Kesarwani deceased upon their arrival at the hospital.
Gupta, who had been an autorickshaw driver for two decades and is survived by his wife and two children, was on a journey with his friend Kesarwani. Police have initiated an investigation into the incident and have sent the bodies for post-mortem examination.
