Speeding SUV Claims Two Lives in Khagaria

Two individuals, identified as Prashant Kumar and Sumit Kumar from Bhagalpur district, were killed late Tuesday night when their motorcycle collided with a speeding SUV on the Gogri-Narainpur (GN) embankment. The incident occurred near a sluice gate under the Pasraha police station area in Khagaria district.
Eyewitnesses reported that dense fog and the excessive speed of the oncoming SUV likely caused the tragic accident. The driver of the SUV, however, was able to flee the scene with the vehicle. Prashant Kumar was pronounced dead at the scene, while Sumit Kumar succumbed to his critical injuries en route to Gogri sub-divisional hospital.
The bodies have been sent to the sadar hospital for postmortem examinations. Pasraha police are currently investigating the fatal incident and searching for the errant driver and vehicle. The community is mourning the loss of the two young men.
