23 Feb
Summary
- Two sisters, aged 25 and 23, died hours before their wedding.
- The sisters' health deteriorated suddenly in the early morning.
- Police suspect poisoning and await autopsy results for cause of death.

In a devastating turn of events, two sisters, Shobha, 25, and Vimla, 23, from Manai village in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, passed away on Saturday, mere hours before they were scheduled to be married. Both sisters were reportedly employed as teachers at a local private school.
Wedding festivities had continued at their family home until late Friday night. However, in the early hours of Saturday, around 4 am, both sisters experienced a sudden and severe decline in their health. Family members promptly transported them to a private hospital in Jodhpur, but tragically, they were pronounced dead upon arrival.
While the family initially intended to proceed with cremation without an autopsy, police intervention led to the bodies being sent for postmortem examination. Preliminary investigations suggest that the sisters may have ingested a poisonous substance, although no suicide note has been discovered. The exact cause of their deaths remains undetermined pending the official autopsy report.
