In Muğla's Seydikemer district, 65 residents were evacuated, and a state hospital was cleared, with all patients transferred safely to other facilities. Meanwhile, in Antalya's Kumluca district, fires reached residential areas, destroying some homes. Roads leading to the tourist resorts of Adrasan and Olympos were closed.
Firefighting aircraft, helicopters, and hundreds of personnel were deployed to combat the fires. Temperatures are expected to remain high, with forecasts of 39 degrees Celsius in Antalya and 36 degrees in Muğla for Thursday. Turkey, like other Mediterranean nations, frequently experiences wildfires during its hot summer months.
