Two men were killed Friday after their 14-wheeler dumper truck plummeted from the elevated Delhi-Mumbai expressway in Nuh. The vehicle, en route from Noida, veered off course near Gujar Nagla village, breaching a concrete wall and falling approximately 20-30 feet into an underpass.
The severe impact ruptured the truck's diesel tank, igniting a fierce fire that engulfed the cabin and trapped the occupants. Police identified the deceased as Ranjeet Singh, 57, and Mohammad Parvez, 24, both residents of Rajasthan. Efforts to rescue them were hampered by the vehicle's precarious position.
Authorities are conducting an inquiry, with preliminary findings suggesting the driver may have fallen asleep or experienced a medical issue. Rescue teams doused the flames to recover the bodies, and DNA testing may be required for formal identification before the remains are released to the families.
