Truck Reverses Over Colleague Near CNG Pump

A tragic incident occurred on October 20, 2026, when Madhuranjan Kumar Singh, a 31-year-old canter truck driver, lost his life. Singh was assisting his colleague, Jitendra Mahato, with parking another truck near a CNG pump in Sector 22, Gurgaon. Mahato reportedly accelerated the truck without realizing Singh was positioned behind it, leading to Singh sustaining critical injuries from the vehicle's rear tire. Singh was taken to Civil Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Efforts to locate his relatives were initially unsuccessful. His uncle later identified the body and filed a complaint alleging negligence by Mahato. Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the BNS concerning rash driving and causing death by negligence. Mahato was arrested and subsequently released on bail. The body was handed over to the family post-autopsy, and investigations are ongoing.
