Motorcyclist Killed in Night Bus Collision in Trichy

A fatal road accident occurred late Tuesday night near the Central Prison in Trichy, resulting in the death of a 37-year-old man from Kerala. The victim, M Vishnu, a resident of the area and manager at a security services agency, was riding his motorcycle home after work.

An omni bus, reportedly traveling from Kalaiyarkovil to Chennai, allegedly collided with Vishnu's motorcycle. The impact caused severe, fatal injuries, and he died at the scene. Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.

Following a complaint from a relative, Traffic South police registered a case on Wednesday. Charges were filed against the bus driver, S Nallaiah of Kalaiyarkovil, under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita pertaining to rash and negligent driving. Further inquiries are underway to determine the cause of the accident.
