The victim, a resident of Manglaghat, had accompanied his mother to the Dakshinakali Temple for darshan earlier that day.
As the boy and his mother were returning home, the incident took place. Witnesses reported that the teenager stood dangerously close to the railway tracks in an attempt to record a short video on his mobile phone for a social media reel. Tragically, an approaching train suddenly struck him, and the impact of the collision proved fatal, resulting in the boy's death on the spot.
Immediately after the accident, railway personnel and local residents rushed to the scene. Officials from the Government Railway Police (GRP) arrived, recovered the body, and sent it to a nearby hospital for a post-mortem examination. Preliminary investigations revealed that the accident occurred due to the teenager's carelessness and disregard for safety warnings near the railway lines while trying to film a social media video.
