Tragic Crash Claims Two Teenage Lives in Minnesota

On October 25, 2025, a devastating head-on car crash claimed the lives of two teenagers in Chisago City, Minnesota. The accident occurred just before 2 a.m. at the intersection of Stacy Trail and Ivywood Trail.
A 2014 Toyota Camry, driven by a 14-year-old male and carrying two 15-year-old passengers, collided with a 2000 Toyota 4-Runner driven by a 17-year-old boy and carrying an 18-year-old passenger. One of the 15-year-old passengers in the Camry died at the scene, while the other two occupants of the Camry were transported to Regions Hospital with serious injuries. The 17-year-old driver of the 4-Runner also succumbed to his injuries at the same hospital hours after the crash.
The Chisago Lakes Hockey Association has confirmed that one of the victims killed in the accident was Jax Affolter, a much-loved son, brother, friend, and teammate. The other victim's identity has not been publicly released. The community is in mourning, with friends and family remembering the two young lives lost in this tragic incident.
Authorities have stated that alcohol was located at the scene and may have been a factor in the crash. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
