The bus, carrying a group of Umrah pilgrims from Hyderabad, India, was traveling from Mecca to Medina when it collided with a diesel tanker near the town of Mufrihat. The impact caused the bus to catch fire, resulting in a devastating loss of life.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other government officials have expressed their grief over the incident. The Indian Embassy in Riyadh and the Consulate in Jeddah are providing all possible assistance to the affected families. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has also directed state officials to work closely with the Indian embassy to obtain accurate information and support the victims' families.
