Tragic Drowning: Tourists Die at Shellharbour Beach

Two tourists, both in their 60s, lost their lives on Wednesday, March 11, following a tragic incident at Shellharbour Beach in Shell Cove, located on New South Wales' south coast. The couple had been paddleboarding in the water around 11 am local time when they began struggling.
Emergency services, including NSW Ambulance paramedics and police, were dispatched to the scene after receiving multiple calls. Upon arrival, paramedics immediately commenced CPR, but sadly, their efforts were unsuccessful. Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.
NSW Police acknowledged the commendable actions of two off-duty female nurses and a young man who provided assistance to the couple. A police spokesperson expressed condolences, stating, "This is a tragic incident and our heart goes out to the family."
