Video surveillance confirmed the toddler had been in the water for approximately eight minutes before her father found her. He immediately performed CPR and transported her to the nearest fire hall, subsequently taking her to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
Detectives are investigating the incident as an apparent accidental drowning. Neighbors described seeing numerous emergency vehicles at the home throughout the night, expressing shock and sorrow upon learning of the child's death.
