A devastating hit-and-run crash in Playa Del Ray, Los Angeles, claimed the life of one-year-old Roger Sandoval Farias. The toddler was returning from a beach trip when a Jeep Cherokee collided with his family's vehicle. Emergency responders attempted resuscitation, but Roger was pronounced dead at the scene. His mother, Nicole Farias, expressed her profound grief, stating, "I shouldn't be burying my son."
Roger's 25-year-old uncle, Oswaldo Sandoval Amaya, also tragically died in the collision. Three other occupants of the family's car were transported to a local hospital; one remains in critical condition. Eyewitnesses reported that the driver of the Jeep Cherokee abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot, failing to render aid.
A fundraising page has been established by Roger's grandmother to help the family with funeral costs and memorial services during this unimaginably difficult time.
