A Toyota Auris had reportedly broken down when it was hit by a Volkswagen Touran, leading to the fatality and serious injuries.
Five passengers traveling in the Toyota were taken to Peterborough City Hospital, sustaining significant injuries. The driver of the Volkswagen, a 64-year-old man, received minor injuries. He has since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released on bail.
