Roadside Tyre Change Fatal for Three Workers

A routine tyre change on the Outer Ring Road turned fatal early Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 12:35 am near the Leonia Footover Bridge, close to Shamirpet. Three workers, identified as Rinku, Ibrahim, and Ismail, tragically died when their stationary scrap-carrying vehicle was rammed by a truck.
The workers had pulled over in the emergency lane after a tyre puncture. While attempting to replace it, a truck, allegedly driven rashly, crashed into their vehicle from behind. The impact resulted in severe injuries. Two workers died instantly, and a third succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a hospital.
Witnesses reported that the truck driver, who identified himself as Nagaraju from Miyapur, fled the scene immediately after the collision. Shamirpet police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to apprehend the driver and ascertain the circumstances of the crash.
