Residential buildings accounted for the vast majority, with 5,506 fires linked to overloaded electrical systems, unattended gas cylinders, and flammable furnishings. These incidents underscore a critical failure in fire safety compliance.
Mercantile establishments, including shops and showrooms, reported 693 fires, predominantly from electrical issues and negligence.
