Gas Cylinder Blast Claims Three Lives in Thanjavur

A devastating cooking gas cylinder explosion in Chinna Ammangudi village, Thanjavur district, has resulted in the deaths of three residents. The incident, which occurred on July 30, began when a fire engulfed a thatched shed. A cooking gas cylinder kept inside then exploded, causing severe burns to those nearby.
Ten people were injured in the blast and were promptly admitted to Thanjavur Medical College and Hospital. Tragically, A. Palanivel, 40, V. Kasinathan, 38, and V. Vempaiyan, 45, all from the village, died from their injuries on Saturday and Sunday. Autopsies have been completed, and the bodies were returned to their families. The Thiruvonam police have initiated a case to investigate the incident.
