Two teenagers, a 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy, were discovered deceased within a rental property at Little Eden Holiday Park in Bridlington on Wednesday. Humberside Police attended the scene following an emergency call and confirmed the tragic discovery.
In connection with the deaths, a 33-year-old man was apprehended on Thursday on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter. He remains in custody as the investigation proceeds.
While the deaths are currently unexplained, police are exploring a potential link to carbon monoxide poisoning. This line of inquiry involves collaboration with Humberside Fire and Rescue, the Health and Safety Executive, and the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
Officers have cordoned off the area and are conducting extensive enquiries to establish the full circumstances. Specially trained officers are providing support to the families of the teenagers.
